The Social Entrepreneurship Non-Formal Education Materials are a practical learning resource created for youth workers, trainers, and facilitators who want to support young people in turning social challenges into sustainable ideas. Developed within the DoYou(th) project, Co-funded by the EU, the handbook helps educators guide young participants through the process of exploring community needs, discovering their personal motivation, and designing meaningful social initiatives. It is especially useful for practitioners working in diverse and changing contexts who want flexible tools rather than rigid lesson plans.
The material focuses on social entrepreneurship as a way to combine social impact with economic sustainability. It introduces key concepts such as the Social Business Model Canvas, the Sustainable Development Goals, and purpose-driven thinking through tools like the IKIGAI model. The structure follows three main stages: understanding the basics of social entrepreneurship, learning how to design a social business model, and adapting ideas to real-life challenges. Each section includes clear session flows, interactive activities, facilitation tips, and digital tools.

The DO YOUth handbook on social entrepreneurship introduces a practical way to address social and environmental challenges through sustainable business models.
This handbook is valuable because it connects learning with action. It supports youth workers in helping young people move from ideas to implementation, building confidence, resilience, and entrepreneurial thinking. By using this resource, facilitators can create engaging learning spaces where young people learn to see themselves as changemakers capable of creating positive and lasting impact in their communities.
