21st century skills

Within the EU co-funded DoYou(th) project, the 21st century skills training series was created especially for youth workers and trainers who stand at the heart of youth empowerment. This train-the-trainer programme was designed as a space for reflection, renewal, and professional growth, where participants could strengthen both their skills and their sense of purpose. Rather than offering ready-made answers, the sessions invited trainers to explore, question, and co-create new ways of working with young people in a rapidly changing world. Through interactive workshops, peer exchange, storytelling, and hands-on practice, participants deepened their understanding of digital realities, meaningful communication, and learning through experience. The trainings encouraged them to reconnect with their own motivations, embrace creativity, and respond to social challenges with empathy and confidence. By learning together across borders and backgrounds, youth workers built trust, shared good practices, and expanded their professional horizons. Most importantly, the programme focused on multiplying impact: supporting trainers to pass on knowledge, values, and inspiration to the young people and communities they serve. In this way, the training series strengthened a network of reflective, resilient, and value-driven educators committed to peaceful change and social inclusion.

Training topics and links to materials:

On this page, we share the core training materials from the 21st century skills capacity-building series. These resources offer an overview of the main concepts, learning paths, and methodologies that shaped the programme. They are designed as guiding frameworks rather than fixed manuals, leaving space for creativity, adaptation, and personal style. The true strength of this training lies not only in the materials themselves, but in the experience, sensitivity, and dedication of the trainers who bring them to life. Their stories, insights, and facilitation skills turn outlines into meaningful learning journeys. If you are interested in organizing similar trainings, adapting the programme to your context, or learning more about our approach, we warmly invite you to get in touch with us. Together, we can explore how these tools and methods can support your community and inspire new pathways for growth and positive change.
